Then you've already experienced the heart of astrology, which simply asserts that what happens in the heavens and what happens in our own lives are connected in a meaningful way.

What Astrology Can Do For You
Do you have questions about your life's purpose? I use astrology to help deepen your self-understanding, awaken you to the opportunities and challenges of your soul's unique journey through life, and empower you to respond with creativity, vitality, and hope.

Three Types of Astrology Sessions
In my practice, I focus on three types of astrology sessions that help people with their personal development:

  1. Birth Chart Interpretation . A birth chart (also called a "natal" chart) is the starting point for any astrological work. It's your very own "blueprint," with guidance for making your life authentic, satisfying, and meaningful. It offers suggestions for optimal functioning in key areas like relationships, career, creativity, spirituality, finances, education, and more. It describes the lessons your soul is here to learn. It sheds light on the gifts you've been given, and how best to use them to successfully meet the challenges you'll face. Finally, it allows you to glimpse what it might look like if you're getting off track--astrology's version of those street signs that say "Wrong Way!"

  2. Current Cycles Of Growth . Each of us is called to work on different parts of our growth at different times. Is this the time for you to focus on relationships? career? creativity? finances? spirituality? A look at your current astrological cycles shows how the potential in your birth chart is meant to unfold over time, revealing the key challenges and opportunities for growth you'll face in the coming year, and how to make the most of them. Sometimes, the lessons of these cycles are similar, forming a kind of "theme." At other times, there may be tensions between the ways different parts of you are trying to grow. What are the best ways to engage such tensions, or work with such "themes"? A session focusing on current cycles addresses these types of questions.

  3. Relationship Analysis . Astrology can help enrich your relationships with others by revealing the deeper purpose for your similarities, and by suggesting creative, life-giving strategies for working with your differences. Astrology offers concrete suggestions for making your relationships thrive. It fosters more satisfying connections by helping you better understand yourself, the other person, and the ways your individual needs and those of the relationship are intertwined. Astrology can be used to examine your relationship with any other person--for example a friend, lover, co-worker, or family member.


Astrology That Respects Your Freedom
I practice "Evolutionary Astrology," which asserts that your soul is on a journey of growth and discovery, that you are responsible for your own choices, and that no "planet" or "sign" pre-ordains a specific fate. Evolutionary Astrology offers valuable guidance, yet always respects the power of your own freedom, consciousness, imagination, and will to shape your life's path. In the River of Life, it's wise to learn about the currents--and how to steer!


Astrology In Plain English
I explain astrology in plain English, using language that is understandable, vivid, and helpful, rather than confusing you with astrological jargon. Through the use of stories, imagery, and practical examples, I practice astrology in a way that speaks to your heart as well as your head, and addresses both the concerns of your everyday life and the deeper currents of your soul. I create an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and support that helps you successfully navigate the challenges you face, and experience a richer, more fulfilling life.

Astrology is simply a tool for discerning Spirit's intentions for you, and as such it is compatible with any spiritual path, belief system, or religion.


About Dan Keusal
Dan Keusal is an astrologer and counselor in private practice in Seattle. He holds a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and is a Washington State Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. He has studied Analytical Psychology at the C.G. Jung Institue of Chicago. He is Past President of the Seattle Counselors Association. He holds a degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and has completed basic training in shamanism with The Foundation For Shamanic Studies. After two years of study with local astrologers Sheila Belanger and Laura Gerking, Dan completed a five-year apprenticeship with Steven Forrest, an internationally respected astrologer, author, and teacher. For more than 20 years, Dan has led workshops on astrology, spirituality, and personal development for a wide variety of organizations, including Microsoft, Seattle University, The Northwest Astrological Conference (NORWAC), and dozens of other churches, businesses, and community groups. Dan is also a professional musician; his CD "All Along" has received both critical and popular acclaim.

To make an appointment for an astrology session, call me at 206-523-1340, or send me an email at dankeusal@dankeusal.com.

I do session in person at my Seattle office, or over the phone.

In order to do any astrological work for you, I will need three pieces of information: 1) your birth date (day, month, year) 2) the city and state in which you were born and 3) the exact time of your birth, down to the minute. This can often be found on your birth certificate, or by contacting the hospital where you were born. An exact birth time is crucial for doing accurate astrology; an error of even a few minutes can make a notable difference in a consultation. If you need further help finding an accurate birth time, contact me.

All astrology sessions are approximately 2 1/4 hours long. I record the session for you on 2 CDs, and include color copies of all relevant charts. The fee for a session is $245.
