C.G. Jung once commented that everyone longs to tell their story, and have it heard and understood. That’s the heart of what counseling provides to those in pain. There are certainly other benefits—the chance to learn new skills, new ways of thinking and acting—but at its core, counseling is about providing “a sanctuary through which persons are restored to wholeness.” *

Wholeness. In a world that seems to constantly bombard us with the message that we can be, should be, perfect, that there is something wrong with us that needs to be fixed, there is something deeply healing about an invitation to simple wholeness, to a way of being where all of who we are is invited to the table and given its voice.

If you believe that someone you know—a family member, a friend, a co-worker—would benefit from this kind of care, please invite them to call me.

May you know the joy of Winter’s dormancy giving way to the new life of Spring.

Peace,

~Dan Keusal
